A week of learning, collaboration, and community building
Throughout the week, the fellows participated in a structured agenda covering key research-oriented and career-development topics:
Scientific training
- Principles of scientific writing, publishing, and communication
- Use of LaTeX/Overleaf, reference managers, and organisational tools
- Introduction to research design, literature analysis, and data handling
- Sessions on Python, statistics, and best programming practices
- Practical exercises delivered by both lecturers and the fellows themselves
Entrepreneurship and innovation
The course included a dedicated block on:
- Innovation management and technology transfer
- Entrepreneurship in the context of energy research
- Case studies highlighting the bridge between scientific knowledge and industrial impact
Supervisory Board and project management
During the week, the consortium held its Supervisory Board meeting, reviewing project progress, training outcomes, WP developments, and planning for the next reporting period.
The meeting reinforced the strong alignment between research progress and project objectives, ensuring the effective coordination of all partners.
A growing and motivated research community
Beyond the formal sessions, the training provided valuable opportunities for fellows to:
- Connect with their peers
- Exchange expertise across work packages
- Strengthen collaboration among institutions
- Build a shared identity as part of the TWEED Doctoral Network

A solid step forward for TWEED
This first Specific Course represents a key component of TWEED’s structured training programme. By combining interdisciplinary learning, methodological development, and interaction with experts from academia and industry, the event supports the project’s mission to prepare a new generation of researchers capable of leading the digital transformation of wind energy.
The consortium extends its gratitude to all lecturers from UNIZAR, CIRCE, NTNU, ANNEA, and partner institutions for their contributions and continued support.
